What is Hair Transplant ?

Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure used to treat patients with hair loss.

The process includes the transplantation of active hair follicles to thinning or balding scalp areas through microsurgical methods. The hair follicles used in hair transplantation are called grafts. The number of active hair grafts to be used in the hair transplantation process can vary based on the patient's hair follicles suitable for transplantation and the condition of the recipient area.

In the hair transplantation process, the hair follicles in the temple area or the back of the head are transferred to the thinning or balding areas of the scalp. If there is no suitable hair follicle in the donor areas, hair follicles on the arm and the chest are used for the procedure.
